Praise God! Hallelujah! Well, okay I've technically got 2 more weeks but I'm in a celebrating mood.
After having numerous weeks of daily nausea it seems to have receded and allowed me once again to return to church, though nausea is somehow a good sign that your pregnancy is progressing well so maybe that nausea thing wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. At least it was a good indicator, guess prayer and trusting God has a lot more lasting effect spiritually. :-)
On another note, I was recently told by my doctor's office that due to my insurance ending in January I would have to pay out of pocket almost $4,000 by 24 weeks or they would no longer see me. About a week or so ago my doctor's office called to let me know that my insurance was no longer active (really....had no clue!), and that it again was reinforced that I would have to pay them their requested amount by 24 weeks. Well, God blessed us with a couple thousand more than that in severance pay from Chris' previous job and that really was going to be a huge chunk out of our small stash of money. I briefly mentioned to the lady that I knew their office didn't take medicaid (was told they didn't serve "those types of women", before they knew I was signing up for it), but did the hospital itself. I was then assured that the hospital itself took medicaid but not the doctors and yet again, they wanted their cash ASAP. Can you tell money is muy importante to medical people? Anywho, so I just spoke to the Father in confusion as to how we would live without that huge chunk of cash but reaffirmed my knowledge that in Him all things would be worked out. About a minute or so after my moment with the Father, the doctor's office called back letting me know that since I was a current patient that they would allow me to use medicaid to take care of the pregnancy and that I just needed to bring in information on my next visit. So God has really come through with us and allowed that money to stay safe and be used to care for us through Chris' being laid off.
God has continued to be steadfast in providing for our needs. What a Father.

The Love Dare
Credit goes to The Romantic Vineyard and the book The Love Dare (as mentioned in Fireproof)
Just a sampling if your willing to take the challenge. You can find 40 days worth on the website by simply checking out the recent posting and going back to where this leaves off.
The Love Dare
(1) Resolve to say nothing negative about your spouse today.
Ephesians 4:2 “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,”
(2) Do at least one unexpected gesture to your spouse as an act of kindness.
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
(3) Buy your spouse something that says, “I was thinking about you today.”
Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”
(4) Contact your spouse sometime during the day and ask how he or she is doing and if there is anything you could do for them.
Psalm 139: 17-18 “How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.”
(5) Ask your spouse to tell you three things that cause him or her to be uncomfortable or irritated with you. You must do so without attacking them.
Proverbs 27:14 “Whoever blesses his neighbor with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, will be counted as cursing.”
(6) Choose to react to tough circumstances in your marriage in loving ways instead of with irritation.
Proverbs 16:32 “Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”
(7) On a sheet of paper, write out positive things about your spouse. At some point during the day, pick a positive attribute from the list and thank your spouse for having the characteristic.
I Corinthians 13:7 “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
(8) Share with your spouse how glad you are about a success he or she recently enjoyed.
Song of Solomon 8:6 “Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.”
(9) Think of a way to greet your spouse today to reflect your love for them, and then do it with a smile and enthusiasm.
I Peter 5:14 “Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.”
(10) Do something out of the ordinary today for your spouse.
Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Today's Scripture Bite
I woke up this morning and have lately been deeply struggling with the differences in my boys and the sins that they specifically show due to their own personalities. Dominic is a very independent boy but has the tendency towards being indignant when requested to do something and is very "I can do it by myself" geared. John Paul is completely different than Dominic in that he is very much the baby and wants to be held or touched constantly in what seems to be a need for reassurance and safety (I believe this is due to big brother having the tendency to "parent him" and throw down with him on the floor when he doesn't really seem interested). I struggle with both sinful tendencies but this morning woke up with a full realization that I have both of those attitudes towards God but yet I struggle with figuring out how to discipline the boys without taking to anger.
I haven't been able to read scripture in the last few weeks (have been able to at least get in a couple sermons) due to extreme tiredness and nausea, but this morning woke up with a scripture in my head for some reason. Most people should know, for me to remember a verse is quite a feat so I really feel like this scripture came from God. I said to myself, "Okay, what should I read this morning?" and having no clue what the verse actually said simply turned in scripture to find my help.
Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
As I eagerly wait for God to answer my need for Grace in this time of my life I'm encouraged by the scripture tid bit he brought to me this morning.

If you eat frozen strawberries and would only buy them specifically for that, BJ's Wholesale carries them for under $1.50lb for a huge 5 or 10lb bag.
